Hey kids,
I have a few questions regarding SATA drives...
1) I've read several articles stating that SATA can achieve speeds of 3.0Gbs/sec, while others state 300Mbs/sec...which is it?
2) In order to achieve the maximum speed for SATAII, must the moterboard and the harddrive support SATA? In other words, if you were to own a first generation SATA-capable motherboard and you bought a SATAII drive, would the drive run at the SATAII speed or the first-generation speed?
THanks.
