:) We just added voice mail and caller id. My problem is my modem It does not have call waiting. If I am on the net and recieve a call strange things happen.So what do I do? Do I buy a new modem with these features or go to catch a call or something similar?If new modem advice on wich one and same on catch a call.

Modify your dialing string to disable call waiting, it's usually *70, before the number, it can be automatically set in dialing properties. Otherwise you need a modem with call waiting capability. Before going on line, you need to pick up the phone and make sure you don't get the "stutter" dialtone that means you have new voicemail.

At today's prices, have you considered broadband?
