Ok. I just got an ASUS vintage socket 939 barebone system in the mail. It came with a disk to install SATA drivers when installing windows... but the only problem is that when I put the floppy diskette in, it says it cant find some text file that it needs.(i press f6like the instructions in the manual say). SO yeah... What do i do to get this working??? Help PLEAASE!
If it came with a CD, there should be a way to make a new floppy with that. Have you verified that it's actually trying to read the floppy - does the light come on? If the floppy light is ALWAYS on, the cable is connected backwards.

Thanks. The floppy was pre-connected since it was barebones... Um.. I dont have a system with floppy disks besides that. I guess I could take that floppy drive out and stick it in this machine and try to make a new one if I verify its reading the disk?
If you do NOT press F6, does Setup see the hard drive? If so, just do that and install Windows.

No, It sees no hard drive at all.
Then your only choice is get it to properly see a floppy with the drivers.
Do you have any friends with computers with floppy drives? Getting a directory listing of what's on that floppy would help to see if it's any good.
