I built my new computer (with the help of pcmech.com), and it runs great. Recently, I bought a Linksys router for my old computer, and we've had problems getting that computer to the modem through the router, but I got that sorted out. Now the problems with my new computer, trying to get to the internet through its wireless card. It can see the network, which is set up correctly in infrastructre mode, but it cannot see the internet. A home networking guy told me I was probably missing TCP/IP files. That's it! But when I go to the properties of the wireless connection and click add and protocol and all that stuff, it tells me "Could not add the requested component. The error is: The system could not find the file specified." I tried installing simple TCP/IP settins through the add/remove Windows Components panel in the control panel, but the same message pops up (even when adding it from the Windows OS CD). I am really upset that Microsoft wants to charge me $30 bucks to tell me how to fix it. I would like some help for free, thanks.
