compaq presario 4000 computer tower

how do i repace the cdrom in the compaq presario 4000 computer?? :confused:

if it is a desktop...
1. Take of your side panels.
2. Unplug the molex (power) and data (IDE Ribbon Cable) from CD drive
3. Get a screwdriver, unscrew all the screws on both sides
4. Gently pull out the Drive
5. Gently slide in new drive
6. Do the inverse of steps 1-3, in reverse order (3,2,1)

If its a laptop, and if your cd drive IS removeable, then you usally just press a button next to the drive and it pops out or something along those lines. A pic would be helpful :cool:
