Hey guys I would like to upgrade my graphics card for my laptop, it's just video 64 MB, I think this is shared from the RAM, I got a1GB memory. How do I upgrade to 256MB video, do I have to upgrade my Ram to 2GB, or is there any video card or GPU processor which I can buy?

This is my graphics :ATI mobility Radeon 9600/9700 series.

I had upgrade before video cards for desktops but never for laptops. Thanks!

You can't upgrade most laptop video cards. The video chip is soldered onto the motherboard. What exact laptop model is this?

That one *might* be removable, but anything stronger is going to cost you an arm and a leg and the notebook may have power and heat issues with anything stronger. You need a service manual for the laptop to see if it is in fact removable.

Your video ram is dedicated, it's not shared.
