Is this item available?

I recently built a computer with a MicroATX board. The case I bought SAID it supported MicroATX, but it doesn't quite support it. One corner of the board, which happens to be where all the SATA connectors are, is entirely unsupported. It's working, but I don't think it's such a great idea to have the corner unsupported--I've been holding the corner while plugging the SATA connectors in.

SO, is there such a thing as a converter plate to go from ATX to MicroATX? I search all over Newegg and couldn't find anything, but I thought I remembered seeing some of those in some cases I saw while shopping.

With the motherboard/case did you not get any plastic things that look like little feet?

They can be clicked inside the holes on the motherboard where there is no screw position in the case. These are normally sufficient.

This is the case I got. It did come with those phony plastic things, which I guess are allright, but the hole on the MOBO that is in the lower right corner (oriented as it sits in the case) is not there. There is NO hole in the case. I guess I could drill one, but I'm not thrilled about making a bunch of metal shavings inside the case... And I suppose I could be all cranked up about nothing, but I don't like it!

You place the plastic thing inside the hole on the motherboard and it will just rest against the inside of the case where there is no hole. It is just a spacer for when you do things like push the SATA connectors into the board.

As long as the motherboard is tightly screwed into the case and isn't shorting against anything then it is fine.

Yeah, I used the plastic things on 2 of the holes. There are actually these slotted holes that those fit into. They don't fit between the case and the board...
I'll just leave it alone--probably worrying about nothing.

Generally some boards are like that. You just have to be careful when plugging in things.

In the bag that all the small screws and standoffs came in did you see anything that looked like small black rubber nose cones? These are usually peel-n-stick and you can stick them to the underside of the motherboard where there are no mounting holes.

Honestly though, you really have nothing to worry about. As long as you have the motherboard supported by 4 standoffs you're fine.

That little board is pretty thick. Just plug/unplug like you have been doing. It won't break.

Yeah, AND it's got a motorized vertical drive bay door to get to the optical drives. It's pretty thin and cheezy aluminum, but it all worked, most everything fit aside from this mobo issue, and it looks SO COOL. I've since added 2 led fans which made it even cooler (both definitions of cooler :) ) Definitely a recommended case. And it's BIG.

I did find some rubber thingy things in the 40,000 or so screws I have left. I think I'll stick one of those under that corner!
