From 24-bit to 32-bit color

My computer does'nt list it in the drop down. It only has 16 and 24-bit color. How can i change it?

I think i need a totaly different card anyway, i would assume they are replaceable such as a memory card, is that correct? And are they pricey. Thanks for your help.

Depends if it's a card or onboard video. Computer specs would be helpful here.
