I just completed a PC and installed an MSI NX6600GT video card. I have a Princeton LCD19D monitor and hooked in the DVI cable. When I power up the new PC (powering up the monitor first) the monitor will not respond. I get no signal. I have checked all connections and checked the inside of the box and all looks good. The monitor works just fine with my current working PC. I tried both the VGA and DVI hook ups. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I am sure this card is compatible with the motherboard (I picked a card which was listed in the book). From what I can tell everything else in the box is powering up fine. This is my first PC build so I'm pretty much a newbie to all of this. Thanks for the help.

What are your full system specs?

Does the computer make any beeps?

If the motherboard has onboard video, take out the video card and see if the montior works with the onboard video.

Try the monitor on another computer to verify that it works.

Try another video card in you computer and possible try your 6600GT in another computer to see if it works (note, to avoid driver issues, don't let the machine you try it on boot into windows).
