MS Sidewinder 3rd party drivers

I have an MS sidewinder force feedback wheel. Since Microsoft stopped supporting these devices the only official drivers are for win 98. The do work for win XP but are a bit problematic at times. Does anybody know if anyone is developing any 3rd party drivers for this wheel?
