Ethernet controller flagged???

System- Compaq EN SFF 733.

Having tried connecting a Speedtouch USB modem accordingy with supported software, approaching the end of the installation - ERROR .... "An error a occured while installing the device. The INF or device set or element does not match the specified installl class!?"

I looked in Device Manager and noticed the Ethernet controller is flagged....Ethernet Properties--->>>Tab---->>> This device is not configured correctly!?

Another fine mess this COmpaq has got me into!!!:mad:

Go back to the driver page and get the correct Ethernet adapter drivers.

However, if it's a USB modem, this has nothing to do with it.

Any Compaq pc and I have had alot of them I been able to get drivers from there web site 100% of the time
