I have seen a post on this before but i can't find it. When I boot windows 98 SE I get a dialog box with a a user id but the password is blank. I can just get past it by hitting enter but it is really annoying. It also appears that there is a duplicate desktp, My documents etc. How do I get rid of this?

Thanks. I have done that already. What I am more interested in is deleting the user. Once I have done that will I loose all the stuff stored in the user profile. cookies, documents etc?

You can just delete a user profile from the control panel.
As far as files go, when you delete the user you will delet cookies, temporary internet files, history, that users My Documents Folder, That users Favorites folder, and pretty much nothing else. All programs should still work.
