How do you install Win2000 on a machine that has Win95?
If you want to overwrite Win95 then just insert the Win2K cdrom set the boot option in the bios to cdrom bootup and hit enter one time - when asked to overwrite Win95 the input with the KEY asked to do this for..
NOTE
make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements of Win2k which is a Pentium 166Mhz processor and 64 Mb of ram and at least 750 mb diskspace.
If you like to have a DUAL boot Win95 / Win2K then you have to repartition the drive first using partition magic or similat software - you also need to use FAT32 because otherwise your windows95 will not be able to Boot anymore and if you like to go with Ntfs then you need to FDISK and create 3 partitions one for the BOOT the second one for Win95 and the third one for Win2K Installing would be somewhat like 50 mb for the boot 2 Gb for Win95 and the rest for Win2k setup in this order - where Win2k will be installed last and then you would have the Win2k bootmanager let you choose during startup which OS you like to boot from..
Hopes this helps
