Start up problems!!!!!! WIN 98

When starting up PC I dont get nothing, monitor blank but hard drive is working power is on I have to power off then restart.
Also happens when I shut windows down hard drive on I have to press power off a second time to shut down system Its been happening quite a bit now.

What kind of Motherboard>? If this is one of the newer ASUS AMD line then Downgrading the BIOS to a previous verion will help it - But to be sure that this works you need to post Manufacturer - model of the board.

This BUG applies to only one ASUS BOARD - not all of them .

HPro...which Asus board has that bug? Is it the A7V133 by chance? A friend of mine just got one and has the "no video" problem, but with no beep codes. All parts he used are out of a previously working computer, except mobo & CPU.

Yes it's ASUS A7V133-C you have to downgrade the bios to version 004. and it will get rid of the bug - at least the one here is working OK since the bios DOWNGRADE..
