I've been trying to install IE 6.0, but everytime I try it's telling me that I have a previous installation pending and that I need to reboot my computer before proceeding. I've rebooted my system several times and still no luck. Is there any way that I can actually find out if there is something pending for installation that's maybe hung up somehow? If so, can I get rid of it or fix it? Thanks in advance.

Hi bigo73,

I think this (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q221/8/63.ASP) is your error. Hope that helps.

How are people finding IE6? I have not installed it yet as I am a bit weary about first releases from Microsoft

Hey Dr. Z, that seemed to work. Thanks for the info.

I've been using IE6 since the beta and the only trouble I ever had with it was running a TV tuner window on the side. This appears to be fixed in the final release and I haven't had any problems yet.

I have installed, but some components of pages are no longer visible. Only happens on certain pages. Generally feel there is increased speed

I have downloaded it and saved it to a cd, and so far have installed it on 6 computers, all went smothe, and running great, I like it and it does seem faster somewhat.

Run the BETA 5.5 - 6.0 and using since a week IE 6.0 - never ever any problems on all the machines .seems to be a bit faster - may the only one thing I don't like is when clicking a link out of Outlook 6.0 then the page will not load in full screen there is always a smal part left out on the right side of the screen and I have to adjust it to Full - but I'm working on it - and that's just a cosmetic small issue nothing worth to worry about.
