After owning my PC for a few months I have grown tired of the noise. I have pinpointed the noise as the video card. While playing games it runs at about 41 degrees according to the sensor but I think that the sensor is off and the fan runs at 100% all of the time. I have an Asus A8n-SLI with an e-VGA 7800gt, here is the link to the video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130035. Is there any other way I can cool it or am I stuck with the noisy fan?

I had the same problem with my vid card.... XFX 7900gt, I replaced the stock fan with a ZALMAN VF900, I've never regretted it. It's near silent and the temps dropped considerably.

Second vote for the Zalman VF900. I had a big drop in temps when I switched to this fan, and it's definitely quieter than the stock eVGA fan.

I highly suggest the Arctic Cooling Accelero X1. The Zalman would do fine as well. I just find my Accelero to perform better, and is quieter then my previous VF900.
Another vote for teh Accelero. It works better and was much quieter for me than the Zalman units (VF700 and VF900).

How does the VF700 differ from the 900 in terms of performance and noise?

VF900 is just more beefier. With a heatpipe and bigger sinks. Also a bigger and faster fan.

Um yea, I ordered the X1 and it doesn't fit. Stupid me didn't bother checking if it was compatible with the 7600GT. The box said compatible with 6800 and 7800 series but I figured "well the guys on the forum said it was good" so I ordered it anyway. Not that big of a deal, I'm only out ~12 bucks RMAing it, gonna get the Zalman. The S3 model which should be out soon will fit the 7600GT for those who wanted to go with an Accelero but couldn't up until now.

Yeap
Asus A8n-SLI with an e-VGA 7800gt
Its only compatible with the later series 7800/7900 and 6800s.
With 7600GTs and anything around your only choice Zalman. Which isnt bad as for newer nvidia cards, which have a lower TDP. For some strange reason the Zalman wins. So your set.

What video card do you have, Mr. Ferrari?
I have an eVGA 7600gt KO and the fan is also the loudest in my case. Sounds like a loud sweeping sound.
