An FX-51 (940 pin) CPU on my wifes computer just burned up. The warning sign came up but by the time she turned up the fan it was too late. I just did a Google search for a new FX-51 but could not find any for sale. I saw an FX-53 (940 pin) for sale for 500 bucks on Pricegrabber though. The board is an Asus SK8N.

I have a RAID 0 configuration on my drives and a regular third drive that is not in any RAID configuration. On one or the other drive I have pictures that I do not want to lose. Not sure if the pics are on the RAID drives or the regular drive. So anyway...I need to get a CPU that will bring my computer back to life so I can recover those pictures.

Any ideas where I might find a new or used FX-51? or an FX-53 (if it will work) for a price of less than $500? I am willing to pay an outrageous price for a new processor if it will recover those pictures. I am aware of how important it is to back things up.

Thanks
