RAM question

My motherboard supports DDR2 Ram speed upto 533 and voltage of 1.8 volts, yet most manufacturers ram advisors show modules with higher speed and voltage as compatible. I am confused. Can I use higher speed and voltage modules?

Some boards may be able to use faster ram and down throttle and some don't. Always best to use what the board specifies and what the maker of the board says is OK to use.
