Hello, I am expierancing a very wierd computer problem. When I play video games, ect World of Warcraft, my computer starts making a continuous beep, but only happens when I'm at the loading screen or I'm ghost walking. I've tried Medieval Total War 2, and same thing, only happens when im out on the map and into the area where it's not highlighted. I am leaning towards a bad power supply, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows what is going on I would greatly appreciate, I really do not want something bad happen to my pc because it's expensive to replace what i have in here.
PC SPEC:
AMD 64 3300+
1gb RAM
nVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS
80 GB HD
400 Watt Power Supply

Check your temps using the mobo utility. You may be getting a cpu overheat signal. Make sure there's no dust build up in the cpu heatsink and that your case fans are properly moving air thru the case.

Also check to see the alarm threshold settings - it may be set to go off at too low of a temperature.

Well... I checked the Temp. on the CPU seems to be at a steady 75-85 F degrees, so I don't think it is overheating. I just reinstalled my video card drivers, and still doing the same thing. I'll try and clean the dust off, and see if that fixes the problem. My Power Supply isn't that great of quality and it might be the reason it's beeping, but it's wierd it only does it on menu screens in video games.

If those temps were C, I'd say they were too hot but if you're sure they are F, you should be golden. That's right around 24 degrees C.

Take a look in the BIOS at the voltages and double check to see if the CPU is the correct speed in the BIOS/same with the ram.

Well... it stopped I went out and bought a sound card because I still had on-board, and well it has stopped beeping ever since. :)
Thanks for the help though.
