Well, as the description says my 19'' 4:3 LCD Hanns-G Monitor Model# HC194DP has gone black vertically on the right 1/8 of the monitor. The screen size has not shrunk at all, it is just that the screen gives the impression that it has been chomped off. No problems prior, the monitor just simply sat at my desk not moving for the entire month I have had it then it simply decided to go have a chunk of the monitor not work it seems. Not sure what the cause is except perhaps faulty manufacturing.
The video display is a built in ATI X300 so nothing fancy. The monitor itself rquires no drivers and is DDC compatible so it is plug-n-play. No newly installed software or hardware. The video settings are at the standard 1280x1024 at 32 bits and a 60Hz refresh rate. I have tried different settings with no luck not that I thought it would have really helped.
I still have the warranty on it so I am probably just going to send it in, but if anyone knows what the problem might be or if there is an easy fix that I have not thoughof please do let me know. Thanks for any help.
