Hey. I just built a new rig and i was Just powering it up. when i press the power button, it starts up, fans start spinning, and then everything shuts down after one second. im sure that everything is correctly place. any ideas guys?

ATX12v power connector plugged in? Any beeps? Out of case?

I know this is really annoying, but take the board out of the case and start it on the motherboard retail box. A misplaced standoff could be causing this shutdown. Who makes the power supply? Try only one stick of memory. Lastly, is your case speaker hooked up right?

Had an AMD build one time that did the same thing. In my case, I had the CPU fan installed on the chip backwards and the fan / CPU interface didn't match up. Turned the fan 180 and it has worked fine ever since, 3 years +.

Know it sounds bizarre but that is what my problem was. Got in a hurry and got the orientation incorrect.

my specs are teh same as yours, newbuild14, except i have 250g WD and i hav a PNY 7900GS
