I have a Pioneer DVR-110D that does not work. It's brand new, it opens and closes, and that's about it. Every time I try to burn something - using Nero or Movavi - it will begin the burn, only to stop when it actually comes to burning the actual data on there, leaving me with a coaster.
I believe I have the most recent firmware. Anyone have ideas as to what could be wrong?
Does a different burner work in your computer? Does the burner work in a different computer?

My CD/RW works in this computer and my DVD ROM works in this computer, but the Pioneer DVR-110D won't play or burn CDs or DVDs ... all of which it is supposed to do.
I don't not have another computer (that works) to test the drive in.
Then I'd get a RMA, it sure sounds defective to me.

OK, I think I got it to work. I didn't have the jumpers set to the appropriate slave/master settings on my DVD burner and my CD-RW, both of which are connected to the same IDE cable. So far I've been able to burn one DVD that only plays on a computer, not a TV.
Thanks for your help. :)
