Every time I start my computer my network connection takes forever to start, then on my desktop I get a network connection with a red x through it. It is a "Local Area Connection, Network cable is unplugged. Nividia NForce networking co....." I don't have anything to plug into it as I am using a different network connection.
Is there someway to fix this so it does not always try to start. Is there someway to delete the network connection?

Be gentle, this is a new one for me :}

Control Panel>Network Connections>Disable the one in question by right clicking and select Disable. See if that helps.

It comes up disabled because at first it was telling me it was unable to locate the network.
So, I disabled it, now it takes 45 secs after all the other programs are loaded to come up and my computer won't do anything until it finishes loading.

Disable it in the bios and uninstall the driver.

One question, after I disabled it in the BIOS there was no driver to delete.
Should I have deleted the driver first and then disabled it?
