Turn off problems

Hello, Im new here.
I have a big trouble and I hope that someone could help me here.
When I try to turn off my computer it never does! I have to turn it off manually and I know that it's not good for my pc.
When I click Turn Off everything goes off the screen except my background image and the mouse pointer. I just can turn it off by pressing and holding the power button for a while...
Can someone help me here?:confused:

Yes tetsuo, my anti-virus detected a WORM_AGENT.DJI a few days ago. I followed all the steps that I found on MicroTrend web page about that virus and since then I've not received any notification of that virus again.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 Intel Core2Duo @ 1.83 GHz processor, 1 Gb RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive
Windows XP SP2

I assume you are using Windows XP but what antivirus and malware scanners are you using?
Do you have any yellow triangle/exclamation marks in device manager?

As good as TrendMicro is no one antivirus program is perfect.
Try a free online scan here http://www.ewido.net/en/ and try "SpyBot" which you can download here http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html

I have just scanned my system with the Spybot and the ewido online scan. Anything found with those softwares.
And I still can't turn off my pc

Another thing I didn't tell. When Windows starts, My Documents folder is automatically opened.
