I am using Internet explorer 5 and havent had any problems. But recently some parts of web pages i am viewing on line arent loading.
It semms to be Active X i think, the sort of thing that dosent load is streaming video (like webcam images) and also my bank account log in applet.

All I get is the little box in the top left hand corner. I have adjusted my interent options in the advanced window, and set security to different levels but still it dosent work. I have also re installed IE and I have even tried running the Patch that microsoft have for secure connection problems.

The problem seems to be with the plugin but Im not sure which one, or how to fix it.

any ideas ?

Need a bit more details here ... perhaps a link and a description of the problem.

I thought I had covered the problem well, but here is some more info:

The problem seems to be with Java applets. My bank log in screen is a java applet, all i get is small box in the top left corner of the applet with a triangle, suare, and circle in it. this shows that the applet hasnt worked i think. anyways also i have trouble with web cams, i think they are java as well, here is an example of one i used to be able to watch but cant now: http://www.earthcam.com/usa/florida/southbeach/.

I have checked the Microsoft KB but its way daunting. I will try a few ideas of my own, but if anyone can help or has any ideas, i would be grateful http://www.pcmech.com/ubb/smile.gif

Try going to Windows Update and getting all the critical and recommended updates. Worth a try.
