View Full Version : Netgear Wireless WG311T problems
Okay, I just put a Netgear WG311t wireless card into my computer, and now, after I installed the drivers that come with it, the computer freezes 15~20 seconds after I boot up the comp. I used system restore, and the computer worked again. Trying the drivers again, the computer ceased to work. I googled it and lots of people are having problems with this card and VIA chipsets, which is what I have. Has anyone solved this problem? What should I do?

We need your computer specs and/or the make and model if it's an OEM machine.
For now go over to the Via site and get the latest update for your chipset drivers (You can also get it from the motherboard manufacturer's/OEM site.).
Then go over to Netgear and make sure you get the latest drivers for the card, the ones that come in the box may not be recent.
edit : Is your copy of Windows fully updated?
I'd look at getting a different brand wireless card.
