Hi all

I'm doing a new build and I'm after the Core 2 Duo E6300, Asus P5B-Deluxe with Wi-Fi along with Corsair Valueselect 2GB PC5300 CAS 5 Memory.

The cheapest I've found in the UK with P&P is £370 but if I go stateside I can get it for £250 £350 with $100 P&P.

Also if it can be done will I get clobbered through Customs and would there be any voltage issues??

Cheers in advance

Just curious as to which US on-line sites ship to the UK?
I believe your right about customs and maybe VAT will kill any savings.
No voltages problems except for US PSUs.

Hi Flanzig

Not sure about which sites it was just out of curiousity really, I looked at NewEgg but it turns out they don't ship (the $100 shipping was just a guestimate) but the £250 was the correct figure on the actual items in question.

Would you know of any sites that might be worth a look at at all??

Cheers

Well, I'm not sure how folks here at PC Mech feel about CDW.com but they got good reviews in PC Magazine and they ship internationally.

You have to order by fax, phone or email and they are touchy about payment. Check them out.

CDW is geared towards businesses.

CDW is geared towards businesses.
True, but they still sell to consumers. But it's no Newegg.

For safety I would just go and order it from the UK. What site from the UK did you find had the cheapest prices?

There are only 2 different E6300's that I know of - OEM and retail.
