which one do u guys prefer?

hey, i just got my new computer in,
its a pentium d 805, 1 gig ram 667, 256 vid card. so i think i have some room to spare
i was wondering what kind of security and a/v stuff do you prefer?
right now i'm testing zone alarm security suite and it seems okay, but the only thing is that its so...annoying, it makes me feel like this program is for the paranoid.

any suggestions?

Zone Alarm (by itself) is one of the best firewalls out there. For AV, most folks here recommend AVG.

I have used zonealarm for a long time now, I have yet to be infected or subject to a worm or trojan. To be fair, I do not visit suspect websites and I also have a router with a hardware firewall. I use it in conjunction with windows defender, AVG antivirus and two spyware detectors. Some people use just windows firewall but it doesnt detect outgoing threats. Call me paranoid if you like but the results speak for themselves. For the small overhead it's worth it to me. I don't leave home without it.
P.S. there are several highly recommended free software firewall solutions out there. Zonealarm isn't the only game in town.
