System hangs and then my whole Program files folder is missing!!!

Thats about it :eek: and also my pc disconnects randomly from the internet, otherwise runs just fine.

Im using Fprot antivirus (updated) and sygate firewall (updated).

Ran full scan for virus and none found.

I ran spybot and adaware and no suspicious program found.

I have windows firewall turned off, because I have the other one, is this wrong?

What kind of computer is this? Home built or name brand?

What are the complete system specs including the power supply and the OS?

How do you get on the internet? Dialup or broadband? If broadband, which one? Are you using an on-board NIC (ethernet/LAN) or a card?

Im using broadband adsl.

Don´t know detailed specs of the computer but its home built.

The pc works perfectly while offline. im quite sure that its something related to internet (as I am using internet for the 1st time in this pc). I mean maybe virus, spyware etc...

I have windows firewall turned off, because I am using sygate now. Is this ok?

any ideas? thx in advance...

PD: only the program files folder was deleted and that what seems strange for me....
