Problems with nex 1950XT PRO Vid and Acer Computer

Yeah, I hope you guys can help in some way. For four days, I have been trying to hook up this graphics card. Bought a new power unit yesterday. Hooked everything up, played my games just fine all night. I cut it off like I always do when I go to bed, woke up, booted up the computer, and

ACER Del:Enter Setup F12:Boot Menu

Is on my screen. Guy from this computer shop told me to switch the moniter cable, doubted it would work, and guess what, it didn't. I just don't see why it worked all last night and now it doesn't. I need some serious help, been having trouble. Just bought this comp also.

1 GB DDR2RAM
250 GB Harddrive
*New* ATI RADEON 1950XPRO
3800x2 Dual AMD CPU.

What brand and size is the PSU?

It is a AGI 550W PSU.

Voltage: 100-120Vac or 200-240Vac
Frequency: 47~63Hz

The ACER screen is just frozen there. My keyboard doesn't work now. The mouse optical light is on, and everything is good, it just sits there. JUST hooked the thing up last night, worked fine. Any help is appreciated.

That PSU may not be quailty unit in that it gets unstable under load.

Edit: read the specs closer/it's a dual 12v PSU.

Try resetting your CMOS if you are having freezes during startup.

Not sure what a CMOS is. Took it to the shop, said the power wasn't the problem (unless they made a mistake). Well, I couldn't do much with it in the first place, soon as I turned it on, it would pop up the ACER screen, and the keyboard obviously didn't work, so I couldn't hold F8, or Del, or F12.

Also, the power said it had a dual 12V. I don't know, but I let the shop look at it. They will look at it Monday, closed over the weekend. If it doesn't work at all, I will send in the warranty, try to get my money back, and just build my computer like I had in mind in the first place.

It's never wise putting a high power video card into a prebuilt computer that wasn't designed for one.
