im interested in buying a 15,000 rpm hard drive, this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822116016 i was looking around for these and they have them in different pin's, one of them was a 68 pin. what is a 68 pin? also what amd motherboard is compatible with this hard drive?

No, that is a SCSI card drive and that needs a special adapter card to run on non-server motherboards. The Serial Attached SCSI name is conceiving.
Why get an SCSI drive when you can get an SATA Western Digital Raptor?

for example files are copied faster into the hard dirve because of the rpm.
im confused, can you explain in details as in where do they connect

You can't use SCSI drives on standard consumer motherboards except with a SCSI interface card. SCSI drives are for use in business type servers.

The Western Digital Raptor is a 10k rpm SATA HD
The Seagate 7200.10 drives are almost as fast as the Raptor and a better bang for the buck.
