I have a laptop that keeps dieing every time i turn it on. its a dell inspiron 7500. i contacted dell the first time this happened and they told me the the motherboard was fried, but a few weeks later i decided i would take the motherboard out and replace it and it turned out to be more than the computer it self so i put it all back together and it worked and now a few months later it died again and it has the same problems:mad: i have the system rebuild disk but idk if i want to do it if i can fix it again. so when i hit the power button the 3 lights will light up in the front. then it just turns off then it goes back on and turns off over and over w/o anything showing up on the screen.:(

I don't know if this will help, but have you tried running the laptop on mains power and the battery removed? I know sometimes batteries can cause this sort of problems.
Hope this helps

I don't know if this will help, but it is worth a try.I just got done repairing the DC jack on a Toshiba 1135-S155.When I pushed the power button,it would turn on for a second, the fan,and hard drive would run, then it would shut off.A second later it would turn back on all by itself. It kept doing this until I pulled the battery out.I tried to use the power button, but it wouldn't let me hold it down long enough between cycles. What I ended up doing was taking both memory sticks out,and turning it on.I then shut it back off,and tried one stick at a time.I believe it was a bad connection,as it now works with both sticks, without having to replace either one.The only other thing I did have to do was use the restore discs, because after the Windows XP screen came up,the screen would go blank, but the hard drive would still be loading Windows.I think this had to do with it turning on,and off so many times.I supose I could have tried the built in tools, but didn't think of that until after I restored WIndows.Sorry for the long post.I hope this helps!Thank You very much!
