What I would like to know it what make, and model laptop has the best sounding speakers? All the ones I have heard so far don't sound very good.I have always wondered why a company like Bose for example hasn't caught onto this?To me they could have the market for laptops if they chose to.Thank You very much!

No laptop speakers sound good. They are just too small. There are laptops that use stuff from JBL and others, but I'm not impressed with them. I've seen high end laptops that allegedly have subwoofers, but I can't believe that a subwoofer in such a small space can do too much.

I second glc. Laptops are meant to be mobile. Speaker with any quality sound have to move air and 1.5 inch speakers don't move air. I've heard the "subwoofer" on a Dell and I didn't really notice that much of a change. Even with the home theater systems, namely the bose systems, most of the volume comes from the HUGE subwoofer.

Take this opportunity to pick up some nice Sennheiser or Bose headphones. Your ears will thank you.

I have what was 18 months ago, a high end Toshiba fitted with Harmon Kardon speakers and to me being a bit of an audio freak, they just make a noise and thats it.
