You are not a dummy and I was not implying as such. Glad you got it figured out.

How do I insert a midi file so it will play when I send e-mail to someone. I can insert clip-art, etc.
Sometime I do not want to use stationary and just want to add music to the e-mail.
I use OE 5.0.
Thanks in advance.

I assume you are using Outlook Express to send you E-mail. Here it is straight from the help in OE. Check it out..sometimes it works.
To include a sound in a message
1. Click anywhere in the message window.
2. On the Format menu, point to Background, and then click Sound.
3. Enter the name of the file you want to include and the number of times you want the file to play.

http://www.pcmech.com/ubb/redface.gif What a dummy. Actually use the OE help?
I did try the help section but I tried under "midi and music." I did not think to try "sound". Sometimes I forget that a computer's vocabulary is different than mine.
Again, thanks for the help.
