Problem with Outlook

I have Winxp Pro SP2 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. I never had to enter a network password or anything to receive e-mail until now. When I open Outlook, I get a dialog box that asks me to "Enter Network Password." I do so and click on "OK." Then it asks me the same thing again about 3 or 4 times.

Is this a problem with Outlook or a problem with my mail server?

The mail server could be down. Do you ever get any mail?

Did you make any changes to your email account settings or did this just start out of the clear blue?

Have you checked the box to remember password?

I see that occur also when you have a password saved but that password isn't correct.

I never changed any settings on Outlook and yes, the password is saved and it is correct. I can also check my e-mail through the web and it works. When I check the box that says "Save this password to password list" the same dialog box pops up again and that checked box is unchecked.
