Are there any beep patterns? Can you list your full sys specs (self-build, manufactured?)?

it beeps like normal. Single beep.
I've been having problems with the computer turning off after about 2 hours of work. I thought it wasthe hard drive cause it was making wierd noises, so anyways I installed a new hard drive and installed a fresh version of vista hoping it would fix some of my problems. I was wrong. Still same problems turning off with blue screen, not rebooting after hitting the restart button etc. So i decided to take out the battery and reset CMOS. I boot and everything sounds good, it beeps and then it just sits at the screen like I said. So that where im at at this point.
System specs
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
AMD 64 3500+
Antec case and 450 watt power supply
Nvidia 7900 GT
Seagate SATA 320GB
Crucial Ballistix 512mb x 2

sorry, i thought i put on there as a link.
Crucial has been having quality control issues with Ballistix. Try one stick at a time.
You may want to try this - with a keyboard connected to see if you can get in the bios.

i unplugged the floppy, disc drive, hard drive, and took out one stick of RAM and the sound card. I turned it on and it posted and let me into the BIOS :) i changed the date in the BIOS and then reset. I wouldn't post after I reset so I turned it off and tryed to boot up with everything plugged back in, no luck. I then booted with everything but the hard drive and it let me get past the post and bios screens. I turned it off and plugged the HDD back in tried to boot again and nothing no post at all.
This computer is making me crazy, I want to beat this thing with a bat
Sounds like a bad hard drive, doesn't it? Is that an Antec ATX 2.0 power supply or some offbrand?

Keep in mind that installing Windows Vista will not be the solution to your problem - rather, it may be a source of more errors. If you have it, stay with your previous OS install (WinXP or lower), and install on the completely new hard drive. Keep note if it makes a weird noise again, as any sign of a bad hard drive should set of sirens in your head.

I don't have a good copy of XP so installing it on the new HDD is kinda out of the question. The new HDD isn't making any noises at all, I really can't figure out whats going on.
