My build currently does not have any operating system on it, because I was waiting for Vista, and now that I have Vista, I prepared to install it.
Everything went fine, until it finished the "Windows loading file" process. I got an error message saying " Stop 0x00000(0x0000E 0x00002, 0x00005)" (That wasn't close to what it says, but ill get the exact error message if you require it)
I figured my onboard video was not up to Vista's expectations, so I installed my ATI Radeon x1650. When I started up my computer, I got no picture at all.
Thinking that the onboard video was causing problems, I uninstalled the videocard, went into BIOS, and could not find how to disable the onboard video (And the manual didn't help)
My motherboard is a ECS RC410L, my onboard video chipset is the Radeon Xpress 200
What is the problem, and how do I fix it?

Looking at some reviews, sounds like that board needs the latest BIOS up-grade to work with Vista.

How do I update my BIOS with no OS, and does the BIOS have to be product-specific?
Yes, you have to get the bios upgrade from ECS, and it's done with a bootable floppy disk. No floppy drive? Sorry, you need one.

I have a floppy drive, but how do I upgrade my BIOS with no OS?

Basiclly you make a bootable floppy. Download the new BIOS AND instructions on how to make the bootable floppy. Also, check the mobo manual, it should have instructions in it.
ECS has all the instructions you need on the website.

I got the BIOS on the computer, but it still is giving me the same problem! :(
The problem is
"STOP: 0x0000005C (0x0000010B, 0x00000003, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)"
It has a blue screen and thats all it says

Test your RAM (1 stick at a time) with Memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/).

Have a look at this thread at the ECS forum, doesn't look good for you: http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=97667
Hmm - another reason to add to the list why we don't recommend ECS boards.

OK, now, It goes up where it tries to find your Hard drive, and it cant find mine; it said to use a driver. I go over to the ECS website, (because I can't get a driver from the Seagate Website) and then download the latest driver. I then try every file for Hard drives and the computer still wont detect my hard drive
My Hard drive is a Seagate ST3400620AS
Thank you everyone for your help
What you need is the SATA driver on a floppy. It *should* be on the motherboard CD somewhere, there may be a diskmaking utility or you may have to manually extract it. With no official Vista support for that motherboard, you may be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I tried every HDD driver given to me by ECS and it still doesn't work. I guess I know which MOBO manufacturer NOT to by from fro my next build >__>

I managed to obtain a SATA Jumper that should make it from 3.0gb/s to 1.5gb/s and tried to load a driver, and it still doesn't work! Is there something special I should be doing?
Sounds to me like you need to get an IDE hard drive or a different motherboard.

Agreed... time to RMA that motherboard and go with a more reliable brand.
