Help Me Please! New System! :(

Hi. I recently ordered a new case, because I thought my old case had a problem. The power would turn on, but it only gave my motherboard power for 2-3 seconds. So I ordered a new case.

With all the motherboards I've thrown in this case it does not start up. All 3 motherboards I used, use to work in my old case before I had the power issue I talked about above. I do not think the new case I ordered is defective because my friend ordered the same case and same problem.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but its really upsetting me sad.gif The f_panel is set up correct, and everything is..I just need to know why it doesent work.. It would be VERY VERY appreciated if you tech guru's could help me!

Are you switching parts from an old system (presumably manufacturer-built) into a new case? Who was the manufacturer and/or what were the full sys specs?

no these are not manufacturer built..all parts were ordered seperate and they all worked at 1 time.

Your links are broken, could you please repost them in their entirety?

Is this a home built computer or a name brand one?

What are the complete system specs including the power supply? Please list the parts by brand and model.

Follow the troubleshooting instructions found in this thread (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=12753) and let us know what happens. You must remove the motherboard from the case when doing this.

This is a home built computer and all the parts did work like 2 weeks ago..then my old case went bad and none of my motherboards work in this case.. I'm getting PS info now..its the same one thats in the new case.

The PSU is most likely a Turbolink 420W PSU if they haven't changed in recent months. That will be grossly underpowering any modern-day system. While it may or may not be the solution to your problem, I highly suggest you replace it with a solid unit if you intend of keeping the case. What was your old case? Got a link?

My old case psu was only 400 wats..I have the model version but don't know who made it..

Yeah and your 100% correct on the PSU model. It is a turbolink 420 watt.

I dont know alot about power supplies..Sigh..I just want a computer that works

What are you using for a video card, or are you just using the onboard video?

That motherboard requires both a 24 pin main ATX and a 4 pin aux connector.

Have you tried the out of the case build as described in the linked thread?
