First new build in Canada !

Total : $797.43 + $48.15 sales tax + $4.99 special flat shipping rate = $850.57

My goal is to keep cost as low as possible but allow for future and easy upgrade, hence the Pentium D that I plan to replace with Intel Core Duo when price goes down, hence the cheap graphic card until I figure my real needs. I plan on keeping using Win XP and the keyboard/mouse and monitor I already own.

What do you think ?

Looks good, if you can get a 915 or 925 processor it will run cooler.

i was just asking where you are from because in the vancouver area i would recommend the guy at ncix who makes an effort to to get me good deals.

they don't have a store in quebec so the shipping might not be worth it.

anyway, you can search for the lowest price with http://www.pricenetwork.ca/index.php
and try to price match.

Thank you Peekaboo, I didn't know of PriceNtework.ca.

I chose Computers Canada because their prices seems to be very good and the flat shipping rate of 5$ makes the difference in the total bill.

The build is solid as is. I would look at the CPUs glc recommended, but the 820 will still be fine. Just to note, you will probably have to upgrade the PSU later on if you turn the system into a gamer.

Yes you are absolutely right. My next upgrave wave with this first build will be :


New CPU : Intel Core 2 something
New video card
New PSU
