Hello, I would like to get your opinion about my first new build I am planning (Canadian dollar) :
Intel Pentium D 820, 2.8GHz, EM64T XD Dual Core, 2X1MB, Socket LGA775 (Retail Box) $111.99
Antec New Solution NSK6500 - Mid tower - ATX - power supply 430 Watt ( ATX12V 2.0 ) - USB/FireWire/Audio $119.99
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA NCQ 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache (OEM) $119.99
Asus EN7300GS/HTD/256M GeForce 7300GS (550MHz) 256MB DDR2 (540MHz) PCI-Express DVI-I $83.99
Corsair DDR2 PC2-5400 667MHz Value Select 1GB Kit (2X512MB) 240-pin Unbuffered DIMM (VS1GBKIT667D2) $129.99
Asus P5B-E Socket 775 Intel 965 Express + ICH8R Chipset Dual-Channel DDR2 533/667/800 Gigabit Lan Intel High Definition Audio Firewire e-SATA PCI-Express Graphics Slots 6xSATAII Support Core 2 Duo Processor $189.99
Lite-On SHM-165H6S 16X DVD-Writer, Black, LightScribe, W/Software, OEM $41.49
Total : $797.43 + $48.15 sales tax + $4.99 special flat shipping rate = $850.57
My goal is to keep cost as low as possible but allow for future and easy upgrade, hence the Pentium D that I plan to replace with Intel Core Duo when price goes down, hence the cheap graphic card until I figure my real needs. I plan on keeping using Win XP and the keyboard/mouse and monitor I already own.
What do you think ?
