What is the difference between 32 and 64 bit? Im in the works of building my first computer and will be putting Vista on it (As long as it supports some of the stuff I have.). So should I buy 64 bit? Will it become standard in the future?

Just about all apps today are still 32bit. The ones that would be 64bit would be hi-end commercial software. I think 64bit apps will be more common to the average consumer in a year or 2.

I have one more question. Newegg sells OEM Vistas. Is there any downfall in getting a OEM?
