Hello I would like to know if there is a way to get the sound from the TV to play on my PC? They have a lot of good stations that plays music I like to listen to . I could do that while working with the pc with headphones if I could get it to go thru the pc.
Thank You

As long as the TV has audio out through RCA jacks, could just get an extension cable with RCA plugs on one end and a mini-phono jack on the other end for the headphones. If want it through the computer, connect the TV to the line-in jack on the PC. Have to be carefull with the volume from the TV, to much could blow out the audio input on the PC.

I don't have line-in jack on my pc. I have a mic jack. In the sound controls it shows line volumn . I have a media card slot , is there some thing I could get to go in there and do what I want?

Exactly what kind of PC is this: store bought(provide make and model0 or laptop)? If you have a mic input and a line volume(which is probably an output), should have at least 3 audio connections(unless it's a laptop) at the connectors at the back of the case.

It's a laptop. Toshiba satellite A-105 with windows media . The connectors are on the front. 1 for mic and 1 for earphones or speakers.

MIC input MAY work but the sound would be mono and not stereo. Poosible problems with using MIC input is impedence mismatch and the likely chance of blowing out the input with too much TV volume.
A possible and best solution is to get a USB sound card: Cheap option http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829126101
