Have you supplied the RAID driver for your motherboard?
First, download and save the Vista drivers for your motherboard (is this (http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=Striker%20Extreme) the correct mobo?). You can use a USB key, CD/DVD or floppy to save the unzipped drivers to.
When you start the Vista installation, you should come to the screen, where you select the drive to install Vista into (it's after you select the type of installation, Custom installation).
On that screen, instead of clicking NEXT, click on the link for Drive Options (Advanced) .. insert your driver USB key and you should see the RAID device on the list.
