I am looking for an online aftermarket body parts retailer. More specifically for a Buick if that matters. Anyone who has used and can recommend someone I would appreciate it. I am gonna try and get the parts used if I can but I wanna see what new parts woudl cost too.

Keep in mind the cost of painting those parts if they do not come pre-painted. I once bought a new plastic bumper for a car and found out I could only get it in primer gray. The cost to paint the bumper was far more than the bumper itself.

Keep in mind that aftermarket parts may not have the same fit. Used is better. Original is best, but costs dearly.
Went through this a couple of times. The parts look fine but when all is back together they just don't line up.

Thanx for the link guys. The parts are for my son's "96 Century. He rear-ended someone the other day while eating in the car. Now he'll pay in insurance premiums. I have had good luck with used so far, so like I said I will probably go with used if I can get them. He doesn't care if the parts are purple as long as it works.

sgt, What parts are you looking for? over the summer i work at a auto shop (my cousin owns it), or whenever i have time. I can go to our parts supplier and get a price for you at our cost, if its significantly cheaper and it wont cost an arm and a leg to ship, id be more then happy to help you out.

Cheap aftermarket body parts come from Taiwan, often don't fit right, and are not as heavy as original. Boneyard parts are the best way to save money and not get junk.

north American cars after market body panels never fit , they don't use the original die's and never fall with in the same tolerance . i agree with glc junk yard is the way to go you could probably even find one the same color

I appreciate the offer. I need the fiberglass "nose" for lack of a better term on a 1996 Buick Century, along with the grille, and the pass side headlight assembly. The nose is the hard part to find. It wasnt listed on the aftermarket parts sites. Havent tried the local junkie yet. Thanx again.

By "nose" do you mean the front bumper? or are you referring to the piece where the emblem is held? (i believe it also wraps around the lights and grille) I can defiantly get you a price on the grille and light assembly tomorrow. Be aware though, after market comes with no screws or clips, anything that the old parts are being held on with are going to have to be reused to mount everything, or depending on what is used you can check your local hardware store for screws, clips, ect. The grille and light assembly should not cost all to much for me to ship it to you, but well see when i get the prices on everything. Also, what are the cheapest prices so far you have found for the grille and light?

I helped a friend repair his car with aftermarket parts once... the trick to them if you were to go that route is to drill out all the mounting holes for "tweaking room".... but I do agree, boneyard is probably your best bet.

They are just as bad everywhere not just the USA, I have seen some import body panels that you would swear were for a different vehicle and some where the steel was so thin and light you would have been better off using them as a kite.
