Wife want's a Laptop, and I want a Desktop, so I can game. The compromise is a $1000 Laptop that will just barely run some decent games. Below are my narrowed down choices. Which one do you think will run games the best? I'm pretty sure it's the one with the Nvidia 7400GO, but there are some other fluxuating variables like RAM, and Brand name considerations. These are all about $1000 on the nose. I can't go any higher. Sorry. I put together a Dell, and it cost to much. Lame

If I could get some feed back that would be great.

1. HP dv6000t
Core 2 Duo T5200 (1.6 Ghz)
1 GB RAM
Nvidia 7400 GO
I'm pretty sure this is what I'm going with

2. " "
AMD X2 TL-56 (1.8 Ghz?)
2GB RAM
Nvidia 6130?GO
Is double the RAM enough to offset?

3 ASUS F series
Core 2 Duo T5500 (1.66Ghz)
1 GB RAM
Intel 950
Is the Asus Brand and warranty enough to offset? It also comes with some cool software.

Thanks

I would go with the first choice, the laptop with the 7400GO.
The 2nd choice does have more RAM and a better processor, however, its a toss up between the two.
If i were you, I would do some research on the 7400 GO and the other laptops card, see which has more built in RAM and whatnot.
The third laptop.. I wouldn't go with it.
The Intel 950 means that its integrated graphics with shared memory, which would not game very well, if at all.

The Core 2 Duo is a better processor than the AMD in my opinion.

I'd go with the first one myself.

I personally would recommend against an HP -- spend a little extra and get something like a Dell Inspiron E1705 with the GeForce Go 7900GS. You can get a basic one with only that upgrade for around $1150 after a 20% off coupon. It also features a Core Duo T2250 (1.73 GHz) and 1 GB of RAM.
