What would be the best way to sharpen a Wenger Swiss Army knife? Mine has seen a lot of use, and the edge has become dull.

I was thinking one of those ceramic knife sharpeners or maybe a fine whetstone.

Any ideas?

If it's a stainless steel blade, the best way is with a natural Arkansas whetstone. However, there are alternates - tungsten carbide or ceramic sharpeners.

I much prefer the Diamond Sharperners particularly with Stainless. They make quick work of sharpening. The DMT brand (http://www.dmtsharp.com/products/other.htm) is the best one that I have used.

i probably wouldn't use ceramic . i have a AUS 8a stainless blade and i just use a couple wet stones .

diamond sticks always works great , its hard to say about the ceramic i use a ceramic stick on all my stainless kitchen utensils but probably wouldn't on my pocket knife ( its the only thing i will use a guide for) . not a huge fan of tungsten carbide for sharpening knifes .
