I am looking for a used (can't afford and won't use it enough to buy new) laptop. I have been looking at online sales....I know ya have to be careful lots of junk out there.
What would be the best system for connecting to wireless internet (need a strong wireless) my dell latittude from work can't hardly pick up a signal....hate it
Also some mild gaming online games maybe 3D.
How are Fujitsu laptops?
Thanks
What is your budget? Used laptops are risky due to the way they are abused out in the field.

I know it is sort of a gamble to buy a used one but can't really afford a new one.
I am thinking about maybe 5-600.00
Seen some Fujitsu, HP, Gateways that might get close to that.
They only have like a 1-2gig processor, and at least 512 ram.
Again just mainly for internet surfing, watching dvd and burn dvd's, play 3d online games.
Thanks
You can get a brand new Dell Inspiron 1501 for $599. Add $65 for a ram upgrade to 1gb - it only comes with 512 and Vista - not a good combo. It has an ATI video chip - a plus if you try to game.

if that gig of ram is a tab slow you can get a flash drive and use ready boost and vista will use your flash drive as ram. flash are very low cost now days.

Good info. thanks. I use a dell latitude c840 at work and sometimes on the road. It is horrible about picking up wireless signals. Anyone know how th e1501 is at picking up signals and playing 3D games online.
So if I have a 1 gig thumb drive I could use it as ram on a vista machine? Not on XP correct?
Wasn't away of this.
The Dell internal wireless has always been okay for me. Gaming should be okay but don't expect to max any effects out. That is gonna perform better than any decent used laptop.
