recently had my server install router in basement so now my house apparently is set up for wireless internet. My question is how do I use my desktop computers with this?
I have one desktop computer connected to the main line in computer and I have another one in another room how do I get this one connected to the internet do I need another connection or can I connect to the same line. Neither computer has wireless adapter. I have a wireless adsl router but am not supposed to need it with my first computer which I don`t but am wondering about the second computer. Do I need a wirelses adapter?
Hope you can understand what I wish to know thanks?

If you can, leave the main machine hardwired, hardwired is far more stable than wireless and you will need to configure your modem/router for security purposes, which should only ever be done hardwired.
You can try one of these or something similar with the other machine:

If you think there could be signal strength issues check the other wireless cards for one with a separate antenna.

The computer and the system is set up for security it is done through the server of my internet when they installed it . My problem is trying to get one of the other rooms computer set up on the internet and what I need to know is how to do this the main computer is plugged into the wireless router that is in the basement of my house the other computer is in my sons room and he needs internet as well so am asking how to do this. Do I need the wireless adapter to do this or is another router required please advise on that. Maybe this explains my first question better. Thanks

Yes, you need to buy a wireless PCI card for the second PC. Would check with the people that installed the wireless router for a recommended wireless card.
