Having problems with audio playback

I can get sound when I'm playing music in foobar2000, but I can't hear any other audio, whether it be from IM clients, or videos on youtube. This is driving me crazy and I can't figure out why this is happening. I have a creative audigy installed, if that matters.

Alright, so I was playing around a little bit more and I found out that I get sound from games, I loaded up counter-strike and the sounds played fine, and music still plays fine, but I dont get any audio from videos I have stored on my hard drive.

You may be missing some codecs. Install one of the K-Lite codec packs.

I will try that, but the thing is that all these videos and whatnot used to work, but now they just quit. I will try the codec pack since you know more than I do about this, haha.

Alright, I downloaded the latest K-lite codec pack, and still no sound on videos. I'm gonna try reinstalling my sound card drivers.
