Depends. If you are using an Intel motherboard or a premade PC then mostly: No.
There is a Sticky at the top of this forum for OCing. As to the how will depend on the particular CPU and motherboard.

Have you done maintanence tasks, like defrags and virus and spyware scans? Spyware and such can lead to slow perfomance.

We'll try to enter bios and see if it offers the options.

But I still suggest you not overclock such a computer, the parts are just not up for it and you could end up with a dead computer rather than a faster one.

How much ram does the machine have? Adding another stick does wonders to speed up an older system.

What kind of computer are you using? A home built one or a name brand one? You can't overclock name brand computers...the BIOS options lack the ability to change FSB settings.

How about posting what brand/model this computer is? Kinda hard to tell you *anything* without system details.
