View Sonic VG150 Displays blank screen

My friend lent me his viewsonic vg150 LCD moniter. When it's not connected to the computer but has power it simply says no signal. When I hook it up to my computer the screen reacts but only shows a blank black screen, and the backlight is still on. My other moniters work fine with my PC's graphics card. Any ideas?

No display at all - not even a POST screen - or is it just blank in Windows? The max resolution and refresh on that is 1024x768 at 60 Hz.
